MI Shoe Adapter for URX-P40 Recevier
The SMAD-P5 is the new multi-interface hot shoe adapter for the URX-P40 from the UWP-D Gen4 range. The SMAD-P5 offers a cable free mounting solution, feeding digital audio directly into your camera* allowing you to monitor many of the URX-P40 parameters via the cameras viewfinder, including low battery alert, RF Quality meter and audio mute status. Through this you bypass the A/D and D/A conversion stages, resulting in uncompromised audio with low noise. This shoe adapter also allows the receiver to power via the camera, the power sync feature also provides efficient power management.

The SMAD-P5 is applicable to XDCAM Camcorder PXW-FX9, PXW-FS7, PXW-FS7II, PXW-FS5, PXW-FS5K, PXW-Z280/Z190, PXW-X280/X200*, PXW-X180/X160, PXW-Z150**, PXW-Z90 and PXW-X70, NXCAM Camcorder HXR-NX5R, HXR-NX80, HXR-MC2500 and HXR-MC88, Handycam FDR-AX60 and NEX-VG30E, interchangeable lens digital camera α7II, α7III, α7RII, α7RIII, α7RIV, α7S, α7SII, α9 and α99II with analog output setting. Digital connection is available with PXW-FX9, PXW-Z280/Z190 and α7RIV. PXW-FX9 and PXW-Z280/Z190 can show the wireless microphone status on the LCD or viewfinder. (as of September 2019)
*PXW-X200 firmware should be upgraded to Ver.2.00 or later for using SMAD-P5.
**When using with PXW-Z150 operated by AC power, please set a battery on the camera. Without a battery, we do not guarantee the power supply function or power ON/OFF control function. In that case, insert new AA alkaline batteries in the receiver and set the receiver’s power select (PWR SOURCE) menu item to BATT ONLY mode to avoid an unexpected shutdown of the camera or data loss.
