Graduated FSND filters are half clear and transitioning, either abruptly or gradually, to half neutral grey. RHOdium® Full Spectrum Graduated NDs are designed with a gradient following the natural shading of the sky, allowing a more even exposure of the image. A truly neutral ND transmits a similar amount of light from the near UV through the visible and into the near IR. This full spectrum ND filter is made specifically for the critical colour standards of 4K, 6K, and 8K resolution cameras. This is of particular importance in post-production colour grading because it allows the colourist to grade all the shots the same, filtered, or unfiltered. RHOdium FSND resolves even the finest detail and produces images free from distortion. By encapsulating the interlayer between the glass, rather than on the surface, RHOdium FSND filters are better protected from abrasions and other rigours of production.

APPLICATION
By reducing the exposure in selective areas, you can balance the overall exposure of the scene to gain detail in both bright and dark areas. Such as an open sky and shadowed foreground. Hard-edged for long focal length and soft-edged for short and mid-range focal length lenses.
Our Rhodium FSND filter (Full Spectrum Neutral Density) attenuates light equally within the wavelength range from 350-1000nm including UV- and near IR light. This is of particular importance to avoid IR light pollution resulting in unwanted purple and/or violet colour artefacts in dark areas of the frame. Additionally, we attach a great emphasis on colour consistency to allow easy colour grading, all shots, filtered, or unfiltered can be graded in the same way. This is important specifically for the critical colour standards of 4K, 6K, and 8K resolution cameras and the short turnaround times in today’s post-production processes.
