IntraTec Bridge Duo 2 Dual radio high power WiFi bridging unit

Similar to the BRIDGE 2, the BRIDGE Duo 2 features a second WiFi radio allowing both long rangeconnectivity to a another BRIDGE/DUO unit as well as local connection of devices via WiFi (up to 100m) or viaethernet. The BRIDGEDUO 2 comes in a ruggedized case with built in dual V-Mount power supplies(batteries not included)

New to MK2 version - Dual V-Mount power supplies, the ability to mount larger, higher capacity V-Mount batteries, and built in 12v 5A regulated XLR power outlet

Extreme WiFi Transmission: Intratec Bridge & Bridge Duo

Wireless video streaming and monitoring from a UAV

Key Features

  • Distribute video wirelessly over great distances, ideal for roaming cameras or point to point links
  • Connect any network (IP) enabled devices over a high throughput long range WiFi link
  • Easily extend the range of existing WiFi equipment with just one unit
  • Completely transparent, devices connected to either end of the WiFi link will behave exactly as they would if they were connected directly with an Ethernet cable
  • Dual radio design allows one radio to be used for the backhaul between bridging units and the other for as a local access point.
  • Ideal for covering larger distances, directional antennas can be used to connect bridging units while the local access point still allows free Omni-directional roaming at each end.
  • Multiple units can be used together (Point to MultiPoint)
  • Supports transmission speeds up to 300Mb/s
  • Supports transmission distances greater than 500M with standard antennae / 10KM with external antennae
  • Automatically adjusts transmission rates based on current conditions to maintain link stability
  • Housed in a ruggedized carry case
  • Can be powered from standard v-mount batteries or POE
  • XLR power output for powering external devices
  • No radio licences required
  • Supports the use of narrow channel widths for increased range and stability in crowded environments
  • Web based site interference monitor

IntraTec's Bridge Duo is a high-powered WiFi system that offers transmission ranges of up to 10km. Battery-powered and housed in a rugged case, this wireless device can transmit and receive files and live streams at up-to 300Mb/s, making it highly suited to broadcast crews working in the field.

The Bridge Duo takes WiFi

connectivity to the next level, designed to offer industry leading levels of performance and reliability without compromise. Coupling a powerful 28dBm (aggregate) transmit power and industry leading carrier class receiver sensitivity means that the IntraTec Bridge Duo offers unrivalled range performance and stability even in the most challenging of environments.

The Bridge Duo's unique design allows one radio to be used for the long range link between two bridging units and the other radio for local device access. This system allows the bridging units to be static while the devices at each end can roam freely within the local hotspots range, this allows high gain directional antennas to be used for the backhaul without affecting the free roaming of your devices. Alternatively the secondary local radio can be used to connect to another bridging unit extending range even further.

Built into a ruggedized water resistant case the unit can be powered from any v-lock battery or power over Ethernet. Each unit comes complete with two 3dBi omni-directional antennas for the main backhaul radio and two 3dBi antennas for the secondary radio. Externally mountable directional antennas are available for longer range links. The devices legacy switched diversity mode even allows multiple antennas to be used to cover a larger geographical area with multiple directional antennas.

A built in LED signal strength indicator makes staying within range easy, while the unit will automatically adjust transmission rates and channel numbers based on current link conditions. In more challenging environments the devices comprehensive web interface offers a full site survey feature and powerful channel interference monitor ensuring you always achieve the highest link standard possible.

The Bridge Duo uses completely unlicensed 5Ghz bands and complies with IEEE802.11d global standards for licence free operation worldwide, offering transmission speeds of up to 300Mbps and ranges up to 0.5km (standard antennae) / 10km (external antenna and height dependant) while staying below the UKs 30 dBm EIRP power limit.

The Bridge Duo supports multiple operating modes, in addition to the standard point to point mode Point to multipoint mode allows you to connect multiple bridge units together, you are not just limited to two units. If the distance between two units is just too much for the standard antennas and fixed external antennas are not practical the Bridge Duo features a repeater mode allowing an additional unit to be installed in between to regenerate and repeat the signal. The unit can even act as a high powered wireless router, in this mode the Ethernet port becomes the WAN port.

Bridging, it’s like having wires just without the wires

Bridging is completely transparent, this means the devices connected to either end of the WiFi link will behave exactly as they would if they were connected directly with an Ethernet cable. Setup couldn’t be easier.

The best possible WiFi Experience

The IntraTec Bridge Duo pushes current WiFi technology and local regulatory restrictions to their limit.

  • Tx Power – Capable of transmitting at the UKs legal limit of 30dBi EIRP for band B WiFi without extremely high gain ultra-directional antennas.
  • Sensitivity – Range is about more than power, a sensitive receiver can pick up faint signals that poorer receivers would simply ignore. The IntraTec Bridge Duo features an industry leading carrier class -96dBm sensitivity.
  • 2 x MIMO – Two antennas take full advantage of the multiple input multiple output technology offered by the latest 802.11n WiFi standard for increased throughput and link reliability as well as supporting switched diversity when operating in 802.11a mode.
  • 5Ghz -5Ghz WiFi offers many advantages over the more common 2.4Ghz flavour, these include; Better penetration, Better scatter, No abnormal absorption by water or damp, Larger number of non-overlapping channels which means less radio congestion, OFDM technology employed over the whole speed range (better for non-line of site operation) and a higher maximum legal transmit power.
