SkyPanel perfectly mixes some 2,000 calibrated red, green, blue and white LEDs into one homogeneous beam of soft light. The shadows are soft in nature and do not exhibit multiple edges or strange colours, making SkyPanel one of the best LED soft lights for shadow rendition on the market.

Familiar but Revolutionary. Multi-ways to control.

The SkyPanel user interface is designed to be incredibly easy to use, but also to make a wide range of controls available to the user, all at the same time. With three simple knobs, the colour temperature, green/magenta point, intensity, hue and saturation can be adjusted instantly. In addition to the onboard controls, SkyPanel has always had a multitude of ways to control the light output: DMX, RDM, Art-Net, sACN, 5-Pin XLR, and Ethernet. That makes the control of SkyPanel from the remote control, console, web portal, smartphone and tablet possible.

The S360-C adds another important communication method, and this one does not involve any wires: Wireless DMX by LumenRadio. Built into every S360-C, the CMRX chip allows for DMX and RDM communication without the hassle of cables and distribution equipment. Simply link a compatible LumenRadio transmitter to the S360-C and you’re good to go. Using the 5-Pin DMX output on the S360-C also allows for daisy chaining other non-wireless SkyPanels to the DMX network.

The state-of-the-art light engines and electronics built into every SkyPanel have paved the way for a powerful new feature: lighting effects. With SkyPanel Lighting Effects, users can now choose and manipulate several effects without the need for a lighting console or hours of programming. Each effect has several parameters that allow for customization of the effect to fit your needs.

The lighting effects include candles, clouds passing, club lights, colour chase, cop cars, fire, fireworks, light strobe, lightning, paparazzi, pulsing, television, processing, welding, explosion and more. SkyPanel Lighting Effects changes the game for on-set lighting effect generation.

The SkyPanel was designed to be used primarily as a soft light to illuminate people. However, features were also designed into the fixture to make it extremely versatile. The diffusor panels on the front of the lamphead are interchangeable, so going from a heavy diffusion to a lite diffusion can be done in a matter of seconds.

Big range of professional lighting accessories is available to meet different application needs and using habits: from SkyBender, Eggcrate, and FlexDoor to Honeycomb; from lightbank, SnapGrid, and Octagon, to Lantern; from mounting Yokes to transport cases. A big range of accessories provides an easy and accurate way of lighting creation.

Remote Phosphor Version. Extra brightness, amazing colour.

In addition to the fully tuneable colour versions of the SkyPanel, remote phosphor versions are also available. To make white LEDs, phosphors are typically placed directly on a single blue LED. Remote phosphor technology uses many powerful blue LEDs to excite a panel coated in phosphors, which is positioned further away from the LEDs.

These high-quality phosphors deliver near-perfect colour rendition and outstanding light output. The remote phosphor versions of SkyPanel are roughly 10% brighter than the colour versions and have a lower price point due to fewer complex electronics. Different color temperature panels are available, including 2,700 K; 3,200 K; 4,300 K; 5,600 K; 6,500 and 10,000 K.

Built to Last. Constructed with great care from durable materials.

Made in Germany to the high standards for which all ARRI products are known, SkyPanel is built to last – constructed from resilient materials and assembled by hand with great care. The combination of an aluminium core with fibreglass-reinforced thermoplastics results in a solid fixture that can withstand heavy daily use on busy film sets.

The electronics have been designed to last beyond a minimum of 25,000 hours and to be easily serviceable. The LED light engine even allows for recalibration, further enhancing SkyPanel’s credentials as a long-lasting, high-quality fixture. As with all ARRI products, a high return on investment is ensured by uncompromising engineering standards.
SkyPanel Feature 11_Built to Last
Fully Tuneable. Get the colour you want in seconds.

All SkyPanel ‘C’ (Color) versions are tuneable. Easily adjust the CCT from 2800 K to 10,000 K with plus/minus green control and access the full colour gamut with hue and saturation, RGBW mixing, digital gels, source matching, or CIE x, y coordinates. Achieving over 85% of the colours within the Rec 2020 colour space, it is now easy to create the look and colour you want right on set.

Applications for this controllability range from quickly adjusting the CCT to set the mood of a scene, to selecting the perfect green colour to wash a greenscreen. Each LED light engine is computer calibrated to ensure unit-to-unit and batch-to-batch consistency, as well as accurate colour temperatures. The SkyPanel series of lights also works in concert with the L-Series, ARRI's LED Fresnel line, perfectly.
SkyPanel Feature 2_Fully Tunable
Tremendous Output. One of the brightest soft lights on the market.

High output is usually not associated with a fully tuneable LED fixture, but with the SkyPanel ARRI has been able to accomplish both. SkyPanel has tremendous light output across the entire CCT range.

At over 120,000 lumens, the S360-C is one of the brightest LED soft lights on the market. Compared to the S60-C, the S360-C is more than four times brighter and maintains excellent colour quality and tunability. Consuming only 1500 watts, the S360-C is twice as bright as a 4,000-watt tungsten soft light and over three times as bright as a 12,000-watt tungsten space light. Achieving an energy efficacy of over 80 lumens per watt, the S360-C is also one of the most eco-friendly LED soft lights available while also being one of the brightest.

The Mid-range model S60 is brighter than a 2 kW tungsten soft light or a 6 kW tungsten space light. In some cases the fixture can even compete with natural sunlight; at the same time, it can perform beautifully at lower light levels.
