Teradek Cubelet 155-355 (TER-CUBE155/355) HDSDI Encoder/Decoder Pair (Now supplied in a Hard Case)
Cube™ Encoder/Decoder pairing is the ideal solution for turnkey on-set video monitoring. Use the Cube™ Encoder to stream HD video over WiFi, then connect the Cube™ Decoder to a small hand-held monitor or a professional field monitor to receive the signal and view video up to 1080p24. Cube decoders are available in both HDMI and HD-SDI versions. For news gathering the Encoder/Decoder pair allows broadcasters to untether from the ENG van eliminating the need to run long cables back to the van, giving the advantage of freedom of movement to the journalist for capturing the critical action.
- HD-SDI input / output
- Dual Band WiFi, External USB Port and Ethernet
A pair of Cube encoders and decoders is called a Cubelet. Cubelet’s are capable of very low latency (~3-4 frames) and provide an easy to use point-to-point streaming solution. Both units are paired and will automatically connect with one another over an ad-hoc or Wifi network.
The Cube 155/355 bundle is Teradek's most versatile HD-SDI encoder/decoder pair and features a hardened aluminum chassis, low power consumption, and a variety of network connectivity options (RJ-45 ethernet, dual band WiFi, and USB port for 3G/4G modems). This bundle provides an affordable high definition end-to-end streaming video solution that eliminates the need for PC-based decoding. The 155/355 bundle is particularly useful for filmmaking, ENG, and Pro AV applications.
Cube-155/355 features HD-SDI input/output and Dual Band WiFi, External USB Port or Wired Ethernet input/output. Cube-155/455 features HD-SDI input and HDMI output and Dual Band WiFi, External USB Port or Wired Ethernet input/output.
The new Cube
The new Cube 155 includes all of the same great features of the original Cube such as a compact aluminum chassis, comprehensive transport protocol support like RTP/RTSP/RTMP/MPEG-TS, and a variety of camera inputs. To bring Cube to the next level, Teradek has added a variety of important new features such as:
Cube’s new OLED enables users to rapidly change and review the settings of their unit in addition to providing real-time feedback for filenames, recording status, and wireless connectivity. No longer are computers or iPads needed for configuration; every feature is a simple click away.
Cube’s built-in Li-ION battery will give users up to 2 hours of runtime, which allows for seamless battery swapping or quick broadcasts. The battery can also be charged from an AC adapter or even a suitable external battery such as an Anton Bauer.
MIMO Access Point
The new MIMO access point feature greatly improves wireless performance and enables special features such as wireless camera control for devices without a WiFi capability built in, and ensures improved connectivity from an iPad or Android tablets.
Cube now comes with a headphone output for immediate audio monitoring.
Cube’s micro USB port will charge the new internal battery.
The new Cube also supports dozens of Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), including UStream, Justin.tv, Livestream, Youtube Live, and many others.
